1. What is a Blog?
2. Why use a Blog?
3. Check your AUP
4. Check out other blogs
5. Set up a Blog yourself
6. If you want it private, click on settings, permissions-choose only people I choose
7. If you want the students to comment but you want to see the comments first-click on settings, choose comments, choose always monitor comments, add your email address
8. If you want to set up student blogs - check out post on this blog.
9. If you want to add video, slides shows, voki's, audio--check out other posts on this blog.

How to Add a Student Blog

Once you are at your blog's dashboard:
Click on Layout
Click on Add a Gadget
Click on Blue plus sign to add link list
Title=Student Blogs
Number of links = number of students
Make up new site url --(I usually add the school or teacher name first ie.ormsstudent1.blogspot.com)
Name of Student
Click Add link
Click on Student 1 from the list
Register (click on orange arrow)
Create a google account for student or click sign in first (I usually sign in first)
Name Blog Title the student name
Pick a template
Click continue
Start Blogging
(Repeat these steps for each student)
